Take A Break
Spring Break Intersession Camp runs March 13-24 and is available at the Chandler Community Center, Environmental Education Center, Snedigar Recreation Center and Tumbleweed Recreation Center.

Whether you want to soak in the sun, heat things up in the kitchen, or plug into video game programming, there are plenty of well-deserved vacation activities to explore with your friends and family this spring. Nature Photo Contest
Focus your lenses on nature and enter your photographs in the City's annual Nature Photo Contest.

We're looking for photos that showcase the awe-inspiring and diverse natural world around us. That could be a powerful wildlife shot, a stunning landscape, or a look at a complicated environmental issue - whatever nature means to you. Both amateurs and professionals alike are welcome to submit.

Top Picks for the Month
Therapeutic Recreation

Strike up some fun with Chandler's Therapeutic Recreation community during Adult Spring Bowling. Join the adult league Saturdays, March 25 through April 27 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Chandler AMF Lanes. 

Volunteers Need

Preschool

Building Blocks
Build the foundation of your child's classroom experience before they start school. Building Blocks balances traditional kindergarten prep activities with a play-based curriculum where kids get plenty of outside time. Each week offers a variety of creative arts, math, science and language arts activities.  Classes are available at the Chandler Community Center, Snedigar Recreation Center and Tumbleweed Recreation Center. Pre-registration required. Get a head of the class, reserve your spot now.  

Youth

Get water wise with Dr. Goodheart as he makes Water Disappear Before Your Eyes. Join the Environmental Education Center on March 14 at 10 a.m. for a free theatrical presentation that teaches the importance of water conservation. Participate in magical illusions as you learn about the water cycle and local water sources. Pre-registration is required. 

Teen

Code REd! Discover a world of creativity, play and coding when you sign-up for Intro to Coding and Programming. During this innovative workshop teens will learn all about how robots are designed, programmed and built, including the basics to writing code. Into to Coding and Programming is a combo of STEM structured lessons, group activities and open play, all designed to encourage budding inventors to explore with enthusiasm.

Adult

Top Chef Cooking
Avoid the chopping block and become a Top Chef. Devote your Saturdays, starting on March 4, to mastering the kitchen through lessons on cooking, preparing and presenting high end cuisine for family and friends. Each week sous-chefs will take home a delicious dish that will be sure to impress. 

Active Adult

Boutonnieres , corsages, prom dresses and tuxedos...why should the teenagers have all the fun?  Time to relive the glory days of being footloose and fancy free at the  Generations Prom.  Bust a move to the Gilbert Senior Center on Monday, March 27 for an evening of dancing, photo booth shenanigans and refreshments. Hosted by Chandler Gilbert Community College students. Round-trip transportation is provided from Chandler Senior Center.
