Helping Needy Families Have A Brighter Future
So much to be thankful for and so much to look forward to!
2017 IN REVIEW
2017 was a year of extraordinary success for Help Give Hope, which is propelling us into 2018 with great momentum. A few of the past year’s highlights…
Christmas Project
We adopted 185 families with 582 children providing each perhaps their best Christmas ever! Our 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse was packed with toys, clothing, household items, furniture, appliances and much more. Within one week all was successfully distributed to include some amazing visits by Santa Claus. Thank you HGH elves that made this possible!
HGH Year-Round Assistance
During 2017, HGH assisted 247 families (outside of Christmas) to include 782 children with most help coming in the form of utilities and rent assistance, car repairs, furniture, appliances, etc. That’s a total of 432 famili es and 1364 children assisted over the past year. 
The Longest Table

In April we held our first annual, The Longest Table fundraiser, at Twin Oaks Country Club. It was an incredible evening with amazing food & wines prepared and served by Metropolitan Grill, Avanzare, Farmer’s Gastro Pub and Twin Oaks Country Club. Ned Reynolds served as Honorary Chair, Bella Donna provided the music and The Nest, stunning florals. 
Last year we raised over $48,000!  We’re preparing for our 2 nd annual event to be held Thursday April 26 th 2018 at Farmers Park (bigger venue & more of Springfield’s finest restaurants!).  Save the date!

Arris Pizza/Paul Zurfluh Memorial Golf Tournament
Another sold-out charity golf tournament was held the second Monday in May – the weather was spectacular and fun was had by all!  Rod Loome r and David Ansley were honored as Volunteers of the Year. We’re now preparing for our 20 th annual (yes, our 20 th annual!!) tourney Monday, May 7 th ( mark your calendars!).  Watch for updates on when sign-ups begin, we usually fill up within 24 hours!   
Garage Sales



Our two major garage sales combined with several Friends and Family sales netted HGH a record $58,138!
New Partners

We were the recipient of $16,000 from the Credit Union’s for Community annual golf tournament in September and have been invited to participate in their 2018 tournament. Sponsorships and opportunities to play will be available this Summer.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteer army and legions of supporters who provided 1000’s of hours of hands-on help the past year as well as a tremendous response during our annual fundraising drive in October/November. We are beyond blessed!
MOVING FORWARD!
It is business as usual again for HGH which includes assistance for families-in-need in the areas of rent and utilities assistance, car repairs, help with emergency food & necessities and much more.

GARAGE SALES
Garage Sale pick ups are in full swing and Brad is out almost daily collecting an amazing array of items from so many of our generous supporters. Dates of this year’s sales:

Friday & Saturday, June 22 nd & 23 rd
Friday & Saturday, September 14 th & 15 th
Friends & Families sales – April 19 th , May 16 th and July 19 th , 9:00am – 1:00pm.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We sincerely appreciate any and all donation offers but we can no longer pick up box TV’s, commercial office desks, entertainment cabinets, sinks, toilets or armoires. They just won’t sell. We can’t even give these items away! We appreciate your understanding.
