Climate Justice Action
Climate Action Now MA and many other environmental, health, faith-based and community organizations, including PHC and PVAC, are joining together to ask Governor Baker to stop fossil fuel infrastructure and implement climate justice through an executive order:
The Springfield Public Health Council held a public hearing on raising the age for tobacco sales to 21 years old. Youth advocates and PVAC Steering Committee members Matt Sadof and Michele Hart testified. A decision is expected at the next Public Health Council meeting in November.
PVAC and PHC presented testimony on the MA Sanitary Code regarding Housing at a hearing on October 4.
Proposed changes that impact people with asthma include requirement for mechanical ventilation in the bathroom (to reduce mold) and integrated pest management requirements for buildings with 4 or more units. PVAC/PHC Testimony
Environmental advocates are asking the Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities, and Energy to co
