Water and air quality threatened!
- Dramatic budget cuts to NCDENR could result in weakened watershed protection and air quality, which could endanger your drinking water supply.
Transit under attack!
- Public transit projects are unfairly targeted under the proposed house budget! Plus, high-speed rail and any other multi-modal transit federal funding will be subjected to another unecessary legislative review process - uncannily similar to H422, "No High-speed Rail Money from Federal Gov't."
Education funding in limbo!
- NC school funding accounts for a majority of the proposed budget and will experience the deepest cuts - 10.5%, which, if approved, will translate to over 15,000 education layoffs.
