Camping is fun, no fooling! Join us April 1 for the overnight Family Camp Out at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve. Enjoy an evening of outdoor games, nature walks and storytelling by the Plano Libraries staff. Cozy up near the bonfire and double the family fun. Reserve one of our limited number of tents before they are all booked. Your $20 campsite fee and registration includes these activities and S'mores.  The fun pops up at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and packs up at 10 a.m. on Sunday.  Dinner and breakfast options are available at an additional cost. Lee Roy Parnell Kicks Off
2017 Courtyard Texas Music Series
What better way to start the 2017 Courtyard Texas Music Series than with Lee Roy Parnell. Enjoy this intimate performance on Thursday, March 2 in the Plano Courtyard Theater. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., giving you time for an early dinner at one of the many fine restaurants in Historic Downtown Plano.

Parnell combines his talent as a guitarist, singer and songwriter for an unforgettable evening. His unique sound defies conventional classification with a twist of Blue-eyed Soul, Delta Blues, Road House Rock, Southern Boogie, Texas Swing and Gospel. Listen to his hits " Working Man Blues" and " Tender Moment." In 2011, he was inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriter's Hall of Fame. He continues to produce and write with some of the most influential songwriters and recording artists of our time. Purchase show tickets now  for $25 each .

The Courtyard Texas Music Series runs from March through November with concerts on the first Thursday of each month. Mark your calendars now - April concert ticket sales begin Feb. 27 for Sunny Sweeney's April 6 performance. Season tickets are available also - we'll save a seat for you!
Do You Drive Sam Rayburn Tollway Regularly?
The North Texas Tollway Authority is adding one lane in each direction to the median of the Sam Rayburn Tollway. Construction is expected to begin mid-2018.

  • Thursday, Feb. 23, 5:30-7:30 p.m. - Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church, Allen
