Denveright: Parks & Recreation Game Plan
Game Plan for a Healthy City
Take the survey:
Which strategies are most important for
Denver's park and recreation system?
After more than a year of community outreach, the  Game Plan  is looking at strategies that will help achieve the  Guiding Principles and Goals  established in October 2017 as a result of the  public feedback gathered thus far. Thanks for your involvement!

Feedback on these strategies was gathered during public meetings in November. If you didn't make it to these meetings, you can now review the presentation boards , introduction video and slideshow to catch up! You're then invited to take a survey on how our draft strategies measure up to the unique challenges our parks and recreation system face.

This survey consists of 5 pages, where you will be asked to rank what you think are the most important strategies for the future of Denver Parks and Recreation (DPR). This survey is confidential and should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

If you attended the public meetings in November, these questions will be the same as the handout you filled out and turned in. You are welcome to give it another look or pass it along to a friend!

At the end of the survey, you will be given the opportunity to enter to win a gift card to the NFL Shop! Survey closes March 1, 2018.

The Game Plan is currently reviewing the preliminary action strategies and recommendations for the draft plan. A plan should be out this Spring for public review.
Did you attend one of the Game Plan public meetings held in November 2017?
Thank you for stopping by to see the progress of the plan and to contribute your ideas. Community participation has been vital to the development of the Game Plan's vision.
Background
Thanks to community participation in open house events and online surveys, the Game Plan was able to take the Existing Conditions Report and create goals and principles to guide further development of this master Plan.

The Game Plan's guiding principles include:
  • Every Drop: adapting to a changing climate
  • Every Person: diversify parks and recreation services and increase access
  • Every Dollar: Re-invest in Denver's resources and people
  • Uniquely Denver: Connect to Denver's nature and culture

About The Game Plan
The Game Plan is Denveright’s community planning effort that creates a prioritized roadmap for adapting our parks and recreation system, programming and amenities to meet the evolving needs of our city over the next 20 years.

In a city as active and outdoor-oriented as Denver, our great parks and recreation system is essential to our quality of life. Denveright’s Game Plan is an update to the plan adopted in 2003 that helped define Denver’s investments in park and recreational amenities throughout the city. Now is the time to focus on the continued evolution of our park and recreation system with particular consideration to our changing needs for recreation, public health, sustainability and resiliency in the face of growth, climate change and the dynamic changes happening in our city.
Denveright   is a community-driven planning process that challenges you to shape how our community evolves in four key areas: land use, mobility, parks and recreational resources. Through four coordinated citywide plans, we will chart the course of the Mile High City for the next 20 years while also identifying immediate priorities to execute in the next few years.
