And Education

Beagle sponsored last general assembly with some additional workforce provisions added by the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation.

Mos t primary and secondary school teachers are well qualified and understand the importance of their role in educating our children. Business Beware: That Email Might Not Be What You Think

Evaldas Rimasauskas.

That’s a name that probably doesn’t mean anything to you, but it should. Over the past few years, Rimasauskas orchestrated a sophisticated scheme that tricked two U.S.-based internet companies into wiring over $100 million to bank accounts he controlled. Thanks to the cooperation of the victim companies, their financial institutions, and law enforcement, Rimasauskas was arrested in Lithuania.

The Rimasauskas case should serve as a reminder to companies of all sizes that they can be victims to sophisticated phishing schemes called business email compromise (BEC). The FBI reported last June that over $3 billion had been lost as a result of BEC schemes. To read the article in its entirety, click here.

The Art of People: 11 Simple People Skills That Will Get You Everything You Want
by Dave Kerpen

What does it take to win success and influence people? Some people think that in today's
hyper-competitive world, it's the tough, take-no-prisoners type who comes out on top. But in                           reality, argues New York Times bestselling author Dave Kerpen, it's actually those with the                             best people skills who win the day. Those who build the right relationships. Those who truly                         understand and connect with their colleagues, their customers, and their partners. Those who
can teach, lead, and inspire. Here, through 53 bite-sized, easy-to-execute, and often                                       counter-intuitive  tips, you'll learn to master the 11 People Skills that will get you more of what

The first JCPenney store opened its doors. Located in the small mining town of Kemmerer, Wyoming, the store was founded by 26-year-old James Cash Penney. When he died in 1971, JCPenney had sales of $5 billion. In 1973, the chain hit its peak with 2,053 stores spread across all 50 states. The decades that followed, however, were filled with ups and downs, as business and technology changed. Read more about the retail chain's history here
