Alejandro Zuleta, the New York based composer, pianist and producer conducts a taller (workshop) with master vallenato accordionist 

Hugo Carlos Granados, the Rey de Reyes, or King of Vallenato. Introducing Granados to New York City audiences for the first time, Zuleta interviews Granados to explore the rich history and dynamic tradition of the vallenato accordion. 


 
Maestro Granados will discuss the greatest exponents of the tradition and what it means to be el Rey!  Joined by Zuleta and Nestor Gomez, Jr. on caja, Hugo Carlos Granados will demonstrate each of los aires (or styles): Son, Paseo, Merengue, and Puya, and why he is the Rey de Reyes!
