Join us for a golden opportunity to learn first hand about using LinkedIn as a powerful tool for nonprofit organizations. TVNPA is pleased to host Schon Messier, Senior Account Executive of Sales Solutions from LinkedIn, for a dynamic presentation on LinkedIn best practices for nonprofits to leverage online social media in achieving their missions. Stating that the company has a "sweet spot" for nonprofits with its
LinkedIn for Good platform, Schon will highlight and discuss what the world's largest online professional network is doing to support the work of nonprofit organizations.
Schon Messier is Senior Account Executive of Sales Solutions at LinkedIn, working with its flagship sales product
LinkedIn Sales Navigator
and specializing in partnering with organizations in the US to leverage LinkedIn as a sales intelligence tool. Schon earned his BA and MBA in Business from St. Mary's College and joined LinkedIn in 2011, during which time LinkedIn has grown from serving 65 million members to more than 385 million members. Schon also sits on the board of directors of Carondelet High School in Concord.

The Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance is very pleased to announce that it has been formally designated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in California!
Formed in March of 2014 by Kathy Young and Mony Nop and backed by an Executive Committee of local leaders, the TVNPA was born to explore and serve the needs of nonprofit organizations throughout the Tri-Valley. The Alliance was an instant success in the nonprofit community and attracted an early and loyal following by a large diversity of organizations and community members.
Over the last year and a half, the TVNPA has grown from serving just over a dozen organizations at its first meeting to having served over 200 organizations in various capacities throughout 2014-2015. Programs for nonprofit organizations and their people have ranged, at minimum from nonprofit best practices, social media/online communications, and fundraising to networking, local referrals, collaborations, and increased visibility for the critically important work being done by hundreds of nonprofit and charity organizations in the Tri-Valley region.
The TVNPA would like to introduce its newly-formed board of directors:
- Kathy Young President & Co-Founder
- Mony Nop Vice-President & Co-Founder
- Angie Carmingnani Treasurer
- Christine Dillman Secretary
- Chris Carter Director, Programs
- Genevieve Getman-Sowa Director, Marketing
- Susan Houghton Director, Special Events
- Carolyn Siegfried Director, Communications/Community Outreach
The TVNPA Board would like to thank its additional Executive Committee Members, Bobby Ramirez and
Mary Mele, for their early and significant contributions in helping this young organization to rise up off the ground and fly.
Additional thanks go to the many, many participants in our programs from throughout the region who have lent a hand at meetings, supported our efforts through pro bono work and attended our programs! Together, we have made our Tri-Valley a better place to live, work and play!!
