Our Txoko series is back!
As often as possible, TXIKITO brings a Basque slice of life to Chelsea by celebrating a holiday or Saint's day with a traditional menu and general Basque fun and hospitality. In this spirit and back by popular demand our next Txoko dinner series is on Monday, May 7th at 7:30 pm. Fresh off of Txikifest we welcome chefs Josep Maria Manso and Felix Duran from Barcelona.

Felix Duran, Cal Mariet
Felix moved to El Quer Foradat, a remote little village in the heart of the Pyrenees, to the house where his mom was born, and with him as only permanent resident, 20 years ago, to open his own restaurant. Since then, his wood oven cooking and creative plates has made this place a destination point for all gastronomic "connoisseurs" that travel the long and wining road to enjoy his food, his company and the amazing landscape of the " La Sierra del Cadi".
Josep Maria Maso Bar Caņete
Choosing at a young age that he preferred the walls of a kitchen, rather than those of a classroom, Josep Maria Manso learned of cooking by following his aunt Lola, tasting, traveling, and soaking the experiences of other kitchens. His travels have taken him to places like St. Pol, Stiges, Barcelona, New York, Figueras; helping him sharpen his wit and smell, and making him the chef he is today. He brings his life experiences everyday to Bar Caņete, where he is known for fusing the traditions of Catalan cooking with his own creations of Andalusian inspiration.
The cost of the meal is $85 and features 5 courses and a cava toast. Additional beverages and service not included. Join us for an evening of delicious collaboration. Sincerely, Eder, Alex and Jason |
