Dear Kappa Sigs,
We hope you had a Merry Christmas and we wish you a Happy New Year!

The 33rd Annual Tau Open golf tournament is scheduled for April 27 and 28, coinciding with Dads’ Weekend for the Tau Chapter. The Tau Open will be played at the beautiful and challenging Lakeway Country Club in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.
Alums, actives, and fathers of actives are invited to play in the tournament. Team categories include alumni, actives, actives/dads, and a seniors flight to accommodate us “old guys”. On Friday evening, we’ll gather at The Hills Country Club (just minutes away) for a cocktail party, banquet and Calcutta. Non-golfer Tau actives and dads are also invited to attend.

Tournament registration will open in early February and we are asking all players to put a team together. The tournament can accommodate only 32 teams, so we ask that you sign up as soon as registration opens to ensure your team’s place in the tournament.
Charlie Stoddard ’73, Walt Schoenvogel ’73, Steve Adger ’69, and John Ross ’69 at Tau Open 2016.
This year we will honor our good friend Walt Schoenvogel ’73, who passed away in 2017, by presenting a “Best Dressed” award. This will be a fitting tribute to a Tau brother known for his great sense of humor and expressive sense of style on the golf course. We know he will be with us in spirit.

This is going to be a fun and memorable weekend for you and your Kappa Sig buddies. We are looking into hotel discounts for those attending the tournament and we’ll get back with you soon on hotel options and other details.
Please contact us with any questions, suggestions or comments.
