Our goal is to get 95 percent of returning students registered for 2018-19 by May 26. The FACE team has some great prizes to reward schools, like gift cards for stores, restaurants, hotels and even flights... plus, some cool collector’s items, like one-of-a-kind autographed Grizz gear, electronics and more! Bi-weekly drawings include the top five elementary, middle and high schools with the highest percentage registered. Word is getting out about the new game-changing academic data tool coming soon to SCS from Bright Bytes. Over the past few weeks, 16 schools have signed up for in-person demonstrations, with eight more more already scheduled in the coming weeks. Manassas High, Mt. Employee Fitness Classes have moved to BOE!
If you're looking for the FREE employee fitness classes, look no more! Classes have moved to a new location, so stop by the BOE Fitness Center (Barnes Building basement) for free fitness sessions hosted by trainer Denise Berry. Classes take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m., and they're FREE with your SCS employee badge! Classes are available through May 23... just enough time to get fit for summer vacation!

Got plans next Thursday evening? Now you do! Check out 88 Years, 88 Keys as SCS Class Piano student performers take you around the world during their annual All-City Concert. Join us at Colonial Middle on April 12 at 7 p.m. to enjoy the melodic sounds of student performers from 16 schools. We won't give too much of the show away, but we heard one of the songs on the program is A Whole New World (shoutout to all Aladdin fans!). Check out the flyer for more info.

SCS educators are invited to the M-SCEA Spring Education Forum on Saturday, April 14 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the M-SCEA Building (126 Flicker Street). Come out for a panel discussion forum, featuring Education Commissioner Candice McQueen, Superintendent Dorsey Hopson and Chief of Schools, Dr. Sharon Griffin.
