Need school profile help? We've got you covered!
So many schools have been working hard on their online profiles since the scorecard launched last week, and they are looking great! The profiles, which are linked to our schools directory, are designed to help families get a more complete story about each school with data on the scorecard. If you're part of the team at your school working on the new online profile, talk to your principal about attending the next communication strategy session on Tuesday, February 6 , at 4 p.m. in the BOE auditorium. #GoRed and get your groove on for heart health!
Fun fact: you don't have to burn out on the treadmill to keep your heart healthy (unless that's your thing)! Keeping your heart healthy just means you need to move! The Coordinated School Health team and Cigna want to see how you and your co-workers get moving to stay in shape. Share your best moves during the #SCSGoRed contest for a chance to win fitness prize packs for your entire school or department. Participating is easy: 1. Gather your co-workers. 2. Record your video (two minutes or less) of how you move for heart health. 3. Share it on social media using #SCSGoRed. Hurry! The last day to share your video is February 16.
Enjoy a FREE night out at the Pink Palace... plus, get some food, discounts, prizes & PD credit, too!
The Pink Palace is inviting teachers (and a guest!) out for a special event on Tuesday, February 6, from 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. Come learn about K-8 field trips and other learning and outreach programs involving the CTI 3D Giant Theater, Sharpe Planetarium, Lichterman Nature Center and other facilities. And that's not even the best part! Teachers also get to preview the newest 3D movie, "DREAM BIG 3D" and several planetarium shows, as well as compete for teacher-friendly door prizes and shop at the museum stores with a special teacher discount. Food and drinks will also be served after 5 p.m. The event is open to all teachers, but reservations for the movies and planetarium shows are required. Click here to register.
