Tripod surveys begin Monday!
Tripod teacher evaluation surveys begin Monday, November 13. If you are in the group selected for the fall survey period, your school site coordinator should be working with you to make arrangements for your students to complete this mandatory teacher evaluation survey by November 17. Teachers not selected for the fall survey will be surveyed in the spring. If you have questions regarding Tripod surveys, contact the SCS Performance and Evaluation team.
The Merry Marketplace has a special discount for teachers!
I n honor of Veterans Day Weekend, Junior League of Memphis wants to recognize others who share the same heart of service to others. On Friday, Nov. 10 from 5-8 p.m., educators are invited to shop the Merry Marketplace at a discounted rate . The Merry Marketplace is a unique night of music, appetizers, beverages and shopping all benefiting the community partners and programs supported by Junior League of Memphis.
SCS appreciates our local Law Enforcement Officers!
On January 9, 2018, SCS will partner with West Tennessee Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) to celebrate Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD). As we celebrate our local law enforcement officers, SCS students and staff are asked to write letters of appreciation or draw handmade thank you cards for Memphis and Shelby County law enforcement. Submit your LEAD thank you cards to Lauren Evans by December 15 to show your appreciation to the men and women who keep our community safe.
FREE scholarships on site at the HBCU College Fair Tour!
The HBCU College Fair Tour will host its final stop in Memphis at the Hickory Hill Community Center on November 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. HBCUs from around the country will be represented in one convenient stop to share information with juniors and seniors interested in learning more about post-secondary education opportunities. As an added bonus for your students, schools will also be accepting applications and awarding select scholarships on-site! Students are encouraged to register in advance to attend.
