Chris Rhodenhizer, lead pastor at Image Church in Woodbridge, VA, shares that we need to move beyond talking about making disciples who make disciples. As leaders, we need to engage and teach our church members how to do what Jesus calls us to do and we will see exponential growth for the Kingdom.

Jonathan Robbins, Lead Pastor at The Summit Church in Kernersville, NC, was encouraged at Refuel Conference to preach on hell, as the topic does not get talked about often enough in churches.
He wanted his members with a surface level knowledge to know what Scripture says and how to talk about it. He hopes the full sermon will give ideas for contextualizing this with congregations across the country.

New Book in May, Resources Available for Pastors
|
Coming in May, Matt Fry, Lead Pastor of C3 Church in Clayton, NC, will release the book I AM: Encounter the ONE who Gives Purpose and Peace in a Crazy World! Fry explores the seven key truths that come from the “I AM” declarations of Jesus, with the big idea being: when I have a fresh encounter with the GREAT I AM, that’s when I discover who I am.
Pre-orders of the book available at EncounterTheGreatIAM.com come with downloads of the first 3 Chapters, 5 videos to be used for individuals or small groups, and the I AM study guide.
Fry is asking pastors to join with him and others across the country to teach from I AM on Sunday, May 7 and/or to mobilize small group leaders to utilize the 5-week teaching plan available for this book. Fry’s team will provide a sermon outline, video illustrations, discounts for case quantities of the book and the small group kit.

At a recent LCN-NOVA event, the meeting opened with an opportunity for each person to share where they are, successes and struggles, and vision for moving forward. While the makeup of each church plant may be different, Local Center members offered each other accountability, transparency, encouragement, and camaraderie.
