Learning, Growing, Chopping & Tasting in the Garden

It's harvest time at elementary school gardens.

Second graders at Katonah Elementary School enjoyed tasting pickles made from cucumbers and garlic they grew from seed last year. Students at Increase Miller Elementary will be picking the season's last tomatoes, Swiss chard, and herbs to make soup for the school. All classes at Meadow Pond Elementary School participated in Harvest Day at the school's Learning and Growing Garden and Soup Day this week. PHOTOS.

Sixth Graders Participate in Team-Building Day

Sixth graders recently spent a day on the middle school's back field, participating in group activities that felt like games but taught teamwork, problem solving and independence.

The warm weather necessitated frequent water breaks in-between rounds of Shepherd's Staff, Trolleys, Mass Pass, Key Punch, Mastermind, and Pipeline.
