$1.1 Million Provincial Grant to Boost UWindsor Business Incubation
|
A multi-disciplinary UWindsor program to support young people in the early years of their entrepreneurial careers has received a $1.1 million grant from the Government of Ontario's Youth Jobs Strategy. The University's EPICentre is an initiative spearheaded by University of Windsor President Alan Wildeman, with programming contributions from the Odette School of Business and support for incubation and technology transfer from the University's Office of Research and Innovation Services. Local Company the First in the Windsor/London Corridor to Sell and Service Professional Grade 3D Printers
|
 KELCOM's document division has signed an agreement with 3D Systems, a U.S. based company and the largest producer of 3D printers in the world. Windsor based KELCOM is currently the only supplier and local service provider of this up and coming technology in the Windsor/London corridor and offers an extensive and high performance line of 3D printers, materials, software and printing services. The agreement will give the Windsor-Essex area its first access to buying and servicing professional grade 3D printers. Read more.

Local Company On Front Line of Self-Driving Cars

 (Source: The Windsor Star) Windsor-based ARADA Systems is on the threshold of the next frontier in wireless technology that is transforming both the automotive and transportation industries. It is among the companies exhibiting cutting-edge technology at the 21st annual Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress, which kicked off Sunday at Detroit's Cobo Centre. The five-day event brings together 10,000 industry professionals from about 60 countries, including heads of automakers, government officials and technology companies. Read more.

 In Florida, Biofuels Digest announced the official opening of nominations for the 50 Hottest Companies in Bioenergy and 30 Hottest Companies in Biobased Chemicals and Materials, and the 40 Hottest Small Companies in the Bioeconomy.
