WHAT YOU MAY HAVE MISSED
Lights @ Runde
Reason you may have missed them? Because one of the best things about the new lights are they shine directly on the field and limit light pollution on the surrounding houses. Lights that illuminate just the actual field? Well there's a novel idea. Check out the before and after.

Stop Sign Face Lift
Did you notice new hardware on a stop sign or light pole near you and wonder if they are beaming signals to the government? Well you would be right. It's not a big brother thing...it is a water meter thing! In addition to new water meters being installed throughout the City, these antennas will be sending the reads back to City Hall. Reduced staff time on reading meters equals more money into maintaining and improving our system. The Utility Department recently posted pictures of the hardware on their new, official Facebook page.

Safety First for TC Rec Program
The Tega Cay Parks & Rec Director, Joey Blethen, poured a lot of heart and research into a big decision for our rec program, and for the City as a whole. Due to many studies on CTE and the effects it has on tackle football players, the City will no longer offer tackle football in our program and instead offer flag football as an option. #kidssafetyfirst.  Read the full story here.

JUST IN TIME
Take the survey!
We are currently evaluating the sign regulations in our zoning ordinance and would like your input.  Citizen participation is essential for valid results.  Please take a few minutes to participate. Don't know anything about our sign regulations? We want to know that, too. Please take the survey! There are two different surveys: one for residents and one for business owners. If you are both, please take both!

Spring Pick-Me-Up has arrived!
Get in there! No more procrastinating about the garage that has swallowed your car. Instead of the usual once a week debris removal, City crews will be picking up brush and small household items daily throughout the City all next week. We've even reduced the cost for the big stuff. Then, next Saturday there will be a City-wide clean-up event in trails, parks and neighborhoods. We need volunteers! Kids are welcome! We even feed you.  Find out more here

And as you clean up inside and outside of the house this weekend, keep in mind these  great tips  on deterring mosquitoes.
