Framingham State University and MassBay Community College Partner with Tempo To Help Foster Youths Attend and Succeed in College
Framingham State University and MassBay Community College announced they are collaborating partners with Wayside's Tempo Young Adult Resource Center's Estrella Program to assist in improving college success rates for foster youth who are aging out of the Department of Children and Families.
Tempo's College Support Program, Estrella, is named after the Spanish word for star and was created to address the social, academic, and community support that is needed for foster care youth who are pursuing a college education.
Wayside's Tempo and Parent Partner programs are thrilled to partner with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health on the first annual "Motivating the Movement to Success-Fest" on Friday, March 18. A day of workshops geared at connecting transition-aged youth with resources, peer support and opportunities, this event takes place at MassBay Community College in Wellesley. Stay tuned for photos and information from the event!
