Ten Rutgers Professors Named AAAS Fellows for 2016
Ten Rutgers faculty members have been named Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). This year's new AAAS Fellows includes 381 other scientists in the United States and elsewhere. The University of Pennsylvania and Rutgers each had 10, which is the greatest number nationally. The University of Michigan and  UC-Irvine each had nine Fellows this year. Read about the Rutgers professors honored this year as AAAS Fellows here.
Two Promotions in Research Commercialization and Licensing
David Kimball, associate vice president for research commercialization, has announced the promotion of two of his office's leadership team, Yair Harel and Tatiana Litvin-Vechnyak.  Litvin-Vechnyak is now executive director of licensing and intellectual property. Harel has been promoted to executive director of new ventures and commercialization funding.  R e ad more here.

Fringe Benefits Rates Finalized by Feds
Rutgers and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Cost Allocation Services last week signed an agreement that established the University's final fringe benefit rates for FY 2017.  The rates are posted here Questions concerning the application of these rates should be directed to your grant specialist in ORSP for pre-award matters, GCA for post-award matters at dgca1@ored.rutgers.edu , or the Controller Cost Analysis Division at costgrp@rci.rutgers.edu .
Subvention Applications Now Being Accepted
The Rutgers Research Council is now accepting fall semester subvention applications, and will continue to offer subvention grants in the spring semester. Completed applications are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, December 5. M ore information is posted  here
National Arts Program for Rutgers University
The Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is hosting the 6th Annual Exhibit of the National Arts Program in Newark. This is the first year the show will be open to visual art produced by all Rutgers employees and their family members. The deadline is January 13. More on the exhibit and entry is posted here.
