A message from Marilyn
We're back! John and I have been traveling, meeting family and just taking it easy. But now it's time to settle down and get serious about business. Consequently, our yearly inventory sale is Friday, July 31st, and Saturday, August 1st. The sale will be 10:00 to 4:00 with 25% off all merchandise except sale items and kits. Also this sale just happens to fall at the end of the month so we also will honor our traditional End of Month - End of Bolt Sale.
If you are doing Row by Row remember to pick up your Kits and License Plates. Row by Row is the most unique Shop Hop. We've met quilters and made friends from near and far distant places. If you didn't happen to participate this year, do plan to "Row by Row" next year!
Scroll down to see our shop's winning quilt! It's a beauty!

WE HAVE OUR ROW BY ROW WINNER!!
Karen is from Clearwater, Florida and has created a fabulous quilt. We couldn't possibly be happier that she brought her quilt to our store! Here are the stores that her kits came from, and boy has she covered some miles collecting these rows!
1. Vertical row - Aurora Sewing Center, East Aurora, New York
Horizontal rows, starting at the top
2. Sew What, Williamsville, New York
3. Country Quilts and Bears, Clearwater, Florida
4. Bernina Sewing Center, Tampa, Florida
5. Carriage Quilt Shop, East Aurora, New York
6. Sweet Darlings, Lutz, Florida
7. Patchwork Garden, East Amherst, New York
8. Aurora Sewing Center, Williamsville, NY
Karen quilted her quilt herself, and it's beautiful! We will be displaying her quilt next week and then everyone will have an opportunity to see her absolutely delightful winning quilt! We'd also like to add how much we love that Karen put a sashing between her rows. We are sure the sashing is one of the many reasons that her Row by Row quilt is so pleasing.
The newest Kim Diehl line of fabric, Gathering Basket, her newest line, is in the house!! We also just received the full line of Butter Churn, the lights that perfectly complement all three lines of Kim Diehls fabrics.
And don't forget...
We have Tampa Bay Rays fabric available for your baseball quilts, as well as pillowcases, tea towels and anything else you can imagine!
We have some wonderful quilt related products in the shop. The adjustable table top Portable LED Lamp is the perfect answer for those dark chair or sofa areas.
We are also excited because we got another shipment of the Steamfast Irons - the world's smallest steam iron! These sell so quickly, if you want to get one, you should hurry into the shop because they don't last long!
Have you seen our newest shipment of Rowan Fabrics? We are loving the Kaffe Fassett fabric here at County Quilts but my favorite is Shoal in Tomato by Brandon Mably! Amazing color and design.
You wool lovers will be glad to hear that we now have Sue Spargo's wool thread, which is dyed to match her wool, that we also have in stock.

Shop Challenge 2015
Remember, your Shop Challenge is due August 25th! Sew on!
This year's challenge is different than ALL previous challenges.
Change can be good! Instead of a fabric challenge, this year the challenge is using the new Hickory Nut Templates. We have three sizes to choose from. Use your creativity to design an item of your choice.
If you do not know what Hickory Nuts are, come into the store to find out. They are displayed on the front counter with samples showing how to use them. If you smile nicely, we may even do a demo for you...!
We look forward to displaying all of the creative pieces in the shop during the month of September. In order to have time to get them hung by September 1st, please bring them to the shop, completed, by August 25th, 2015.
Entries will be on display from September 1, 2015 - September 30, 2015.
With the new challenge, comes new rules. Here they are:
1. Your projects may be sewn by hand or machine or a combination of both.
2. You may use quilters cotton, wool, denim, corduroy, silk or any other fabric you choose. There are no fabric restrictions.
3. Your project can be anything quilt related.
4. Embellishments are allowed and encouraged.
5. Projects must be made using at least one of the three sizes of Hickory Nut Templates.
The public votes based on eye appeal.
One vote per person.
Winner will be announced and prizes awarded October 1, 2015.
