Stories of Change
" ...We found this church and started attending regularly.  I was going through the motions and was picking up some things along the way but really didn't feel much different.  The passing of my infant son opened my eyes and brought me closer to God.  I had no place to run, no one to comfort me and no one on this earth could take the pain away, except for God.  I felt I could relate to Him because He lost a Son as well. Shortly after, I was baptized and have been changed ever since ."   This  is an excerpt from the testimony of one of my good friends.  He shared this story many years ago but it stuck with me.  To see how God worked so powerfully in his life was a beautiful thing. He went on to be one of the most passionate and motivated leaders in the church. Our current series is all about stories of change, just like this one.

As we go further into this series I want to invite you to share your story. "How?", you might ask. Two ways:
  1. Most of you have a phone that takes impressive videos.  Give some thought to how you have had a powerful encounter with Jesus and then record yourself telling that story on your phone. Then, private message it to me on Facebook, fileshare it via dropbox, One Drive, etc. or Airdrop it to me.
  2. Write it down.  Send me a paragraph or two you are willing to share about your encounter with Jesus.
My hope is to share excerpts of your stories with everyone in our church. God does amazing things when we share our stories of discovering His grace.  Pastor Scott recently shared some exciting news with someone at our central campus of Sunlight. They found that his exciting news had happened some time ago and this was their response to Pastor Scott. "Why haven't I heard about this before now? Are you the place where good news goes to die?"  What a challenge!?

Scripture is filled with the stories of changed lives.  We are called by God to share our story of His grace with those who do not know it.  So, as we hear and retell the stories of CHANGE in this message series, tell your story!  Do not be the place where Good News goes to die!  Tune in this Sunday as we hear the story of the woman who touched the tassel of Jesus's robe and was healed.  Read Matthew 9:20-22 for another great story of change.   See you Sunday! -Kris
