Center, Texas - Today, Rep. Wayne Christian is pleased to announce the endorsement of his campaign for re-election to House District 9 by the Business and Commerce PAC, the political arm of the Texas Association of Business (TAB), and Texas Home School Coalition PAC (THSC), the state's top home school and parental rights advocacy group.
"Wayne has been a small business owner himself for most of his life and he truly understands how to promote growth and keep Texas moving forward in a competitive world economy," said TAB President and CEO Bill Hammond. "Wayne is a rural leader in the Texas House whose private sector experience makes him invaluable. We need to bring Wayne back to continue working for the people of East Texas and folks across the state."
"I am very happy to have the support of an organization that has represented job-creators for more than eighty-five years in Austin and truly understands the needs of small and large businesses," said Rep. Wayne Christian. "I look forward to bringing my low-tax, commonsense regulatory approach back to the State Capitol and continuing to grow the Texas economy in these tough times."
"Wayne has always been a fierce advocate for parental rights and has been a friend and proponent of homeschooling in our state during his service in Austin," said THSC President Tim Lambert. "We need Wayne back in the Legislature to assure that rural families continue to have a strong and senior voice."
"I am extremely pleased to have the support of THSC in my current campaign for reelection," said Rep. Wayne Christian upon receiving the news. "If you look at the list of folks who have endorsed me in this race, you will see broad-based conservative, grassroots support. I am proud to stand by my record and humbled by the endorsement of THSC and others who are willing to stand with me for House District 9."
Texas Association of Business and Texas Home School Coalition join an ever growing list of endorsements for Rep. Christian's campaign, which includes local Harrison County-based groups such as the Conservatives for Quality Government and VOCAL, as well as premier conservative organizations such as Texas Right to Life, Texans for Lawsuit Reform, Young Conservatives of Texas, Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, the National and Texas State Rifle Associations, and the Texas Conservative Digest.
