PSA

Texas811's Scott Finley and Rebecca Lane took "Calleth before thou diggeth" to the 16th century at Scarborough Renaissance Festival - educating 24 thousand visitors each weekend.

And before the Festival season closed on Memorial Day for another year - we shot scenes for a new Texas811 PSA!

Here, Royal Gravedigger JimBob Sims of Texas811 is shown with King Henry VIII of England and a lovely lady of the court.   We'll leave it all to your imagination for now, and hope to debut the PSA in the next newsletter!

Mike's Message
Hello, Texas811 members!
May was a return to the everyday for us at Texas811, after the April excitement of our charity golf tournament - which, we're happy to say, raised $20,000 for The Turning Point sexual violence crisis center!  But, we can't rest on that too long - because still ahead of us in June is the International Locate Rodeo in Arlington that we are hosting!
Enjoy the news, and until next time, safe digging!

Sincerely,

Mike Losawyer

The Texas811 Swag'n, Jim Bobble, the Texas811 volunteers, and Chef David were in San Antonio doing pulled pork sliders for the Hispanic Contractors Association Health and Safety Training program on May 20th.

The free event offered OSHA 10 & CPR/First Aid/AED instruction in both English and Spanish.
We were proud to be a sponsor along with such companies as Univision, CPS, and The Home Depot.

In May, Texas811 announced two new working partnerships aimed at strengthening the 811 system in Texas. Texas811 members will have the ability to receive, sort and manage all of their One Call tickets from one application. All information is processed and stored electronically, enabling users to access past ticket information at any time.  Texas811 Executive Vice President and COO Chris Stovall says the partnership is a win/win for everyone involved.  "The KorTerra advantage offered through KorWeb to Texas811 members is something we're very pleased about," said Stovall. "Combining KorTerra with our own processes will give our members an advantage that's unmatched by any other one call system."  Some of the key advantages Texas811 members will receive through KorWeb are access to industry leading ticket management software which allows them to accurately and efficiently manage their locate tickets and quickly and efficiently complete their locate tickets
