Thank you for giving to the Lord...
Words from a song years ago.
Words still meaningful today.
This Thanksgiving, we want to honor everyone who gives. Everyone who gives anything, to God.
A cup of water. A hug. A smile.
A word of encouragement. A word of prophecy.
Time. Energy. Love. Mercy. Forgiveness. Grace. Tears.
God sees it all.
The one who loves the more difficult to love.
God sees you.
He sees your love. He sees your heart.
And He rejoices.
The one who encourages, even when you're going through your own struggles.
God sees you.
He sees your heart. He sees your perseverance.
And He rejoices.
The one who cooks and cleans and loves and gives.
God sees you.
He sees your servant's heart. He sees your acts of kindness.
And He rejoices.
Today, on behalf of Word Fellowship Church, on behalf of Stratford and the surrounding communities, on behalf of your family and friends and co-workers and the strangers down the street, we say thank you!
Thank you for giving. Thank you for serving. Thank you for loving.
Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you for being the heart and words of the Father. Thank you for being the compassion and grace of the Holy Spirit.
Thank you.
Then these righteous ones will reply, 'Lord, when did we ever see You hungry and feed You? Or thirsty and give You something to drink? Or a stranger and show You hospitality? Or naked and give You clothing? When did we ever see You sick or in prison and visit You?' And the King will say, 'I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to Me!'
Matthew 25:37-40
