Highlights of the Month
May in Review

Weren't April showers supposed to bring May flowers?  Now that the great deluge is behind us, we hope to see some June flowers in bloom. We want to thank the Girl Scout Troop 4908 and Salesforce for collecting much needed cleaning supplies for our families and individuals who are moving from homelessness to housing.  Your contribution makes a significant impact.  With your combined support, over 50 households will have the supplies they need to start off their new journey on the right foot and maintain a clean home. Thank you for your partnership with FACETS!

Summer Kick Off
July 8, 2016

As we enjoy basking in the rays of the spring weather, we begin to think of school concluding and summer vacations starting. Why not kick off the warm weather with a literacy party!  We are calling all groups to join us on  July 8th in starting the summer off right for our youth in our Education and Community Development Program . This year we are encouraging summer reading for students. Each student will pick a new book and create a fun bookmark craft. This event is a great way to engage your work place, club or faith community. While ideal for groups, this is also appropriate for individual volunteers. See below for details.

Date:  July 8, 2016

Time: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Barros Circle - Centreville

Ragan Oaks - Fair Oaks

Robinson Square - Fairfax

Wedgewood - Annandale

Volunteers  will support the event in a variety of ways to include--providing and preparing food, serving meals, assisting students in selecting a book and in creating a bookmark and participating in outdoor games and activities.

To sign up for this opportunity, you can contact D'Ivonne Holman , Volunteer and Events Manager, or sign up online . We look forward to having you join us this summer for this Literacy Kick off event!
