Thank you!
Groundwork Lawrence School Year Green Team
Thanks to everyone who attended the Glow Gala, sponsored the event, liked and shared invitations on Facebook, created Eco-Art, donated raffle and silent auction items, and gave directly, this year's Glow Gala was our most successful to date!

Thank you!

Nearly 350 people came and celebrated another year of investment in the people of Lawrence, raising a record setting $140,000 toward changing places, changing lives. Can you help us reach our goal of $150,000? We are so close!

This year, we launched the Sidell Impact Fund honoring our dear friend Chet Sidell's lifelong dedication to the City of Lawrence. The Sidell Impact Fund capitalizes innovative programming to respond to community needs in real time.
One program in need of Sidell Impact Funding is the Groundwork Winter Farmers Market. This year, customer attendance at our 3 farmers markets doubled, and due in part to the launch of the MA pilot Healthy Incentives Program (HIP), SNAP sales of fresh produce increased by nearly 1,500%.

As the summer market season ended, concerned community members asked us where they would be able to continue purchasing HIP eligible fresh produce after the season ended. When over 22,000 people flocked to the summer markets this year, purchasing more fresh fruits and vegetables than ever before, we knew we needed a venue that would continue into winter to answer the community demand.
With limited notice, and an even more limited budget, we launched the Winters Farmers Market, hosted on the first two Saturdays of the month from November to March, at 50 Island Street, Lawrence, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Our first two weeks saw almost a thousand customers.

If you want to get fresh produce from a local farmer, or you want to see hundreds of people benefiting from your investment, we invite you to join us at the next market on this Saturday, 12/2.

We are able to launch new programming thanks to support from friends like you. The Sidell Impact Fund will directly support new ventures like this.
The Community Investment Tax Credit has enabled so many of our donors to double their gifts, leading to our fundraising success this year. Please consider utilizing CITC to help us reach our goal of $150,000.

We would like to thank our sponsors, particularly the New Balance Foundation, Lupoli Companies, Brady Sullivan Properties, Merrimack Valley Credit Union, the Sidell Family, and the Yepez Family for their leadership.
