To our Friends of Gawura who donated to our recent appeal to
'Create a Sustainable Future for Gawura'

THANK YOU
We feel very blessed to have your support!

Welcome to our Winter Edition - Friends of Gawura News. This week is a special week being NAIDOC week! We hope you've enjoyed participating in NAIDOC events around town or at least enjoyed reading about them or seeing the coverage on TV!

You may notice a few changes to this edition of Friends of Gawura News. We've taken on your feedback which we received from the Gawura Donor Survey that many of you completed for us - we hope you enjoy the new format and are always keen to hear your thoughts! Let us know what you think of the changes!

Stay safe, warm and dry and we look forward to being in touch with you all in Term 3.

Your recent donation - how will it help?
Fact: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children are more likely to see the inside of a jail than complete Year 12.
Ensuring sustainability of Gawura, well into the future, will give as many Indigenous children as possible, a chance to live a fulfilling life.  Learn how your recent donation has kick started our sustainability fund  Read more

Opportunity creates choice

Many of the Gawura students have had an extraordinary and life changing year. Some would call it a 'purple patch'! We call it being smart enough to make the most of EVERY opportunity!
What the families and community have to say about the impact of Gawura

Speaking to the community gives great insight into impact.

Survey feedback

Thank you to all our Gawura donors and volunteers who took time to complete our surveys last term. We've taken on board your invaluable feedback and have incorporated changes in the hope of providing you with a better Gawura experience.
