Selection process for the 2015 Momentum for Change Awards underway  now
Thank you for Helping us Shine a Light on Climate Action!

The call for applications for the 2015

Momentum for Change Awards closed last month. Now the difficult task of selecting the most transformative examples of climate action from hundreds of outstanding applications is underway!

We were thrilled to receive a record number of submissions this year - more than 450. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate their game-changing projects. Your efforts to create a low-carbon, highly resilient future add impetus for a new universal climate agreement in Paris later this year.

Winning initiatives will be announced in November and celebrated at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in December.

Gearing up for the Bonn Climate Change Conference
Are you coming to the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Bonn, Germany, next week? If so, don't miss our special event featuring four previous Lighthouse Activity winners, Solar Power Company GroupEarth Roofs in the Sahel Program , Lighten the Energy Bill and Redavia , who will showcase their renewable energy solutions.

The event takes place on 4 June from 18:30 to 20:00 and is open to all registered conference participants.

We're also excited to partner with the Global e-Sustainability Initiative to launch a major new report that will demonstrate the huge emission-saving potential of ICT solutions on 9 June. Stay tuned for more details!
Generating Momentum in Australia
UNFCCC Executive Secretary Christiana Figueres travelled to Australia earlier this month. When our Sydney-based Lighthouse Activity -- 1 Million Women -- heard Ms. Figueres would be on their home turf, they jumped at the chance to organize two inspiring public events.

Ms. Figueres spoke at a girls' school in the morning of 5 May and at a town hall event in the evening, stressing the importance of women's leadership on climate action. Both events were hugely successful and we can't thank 1 Million Women enough for their superb organization and support.
