Thank you for being a part of
Congregation B'nai Shalom

As we prepare to enter our 40th year, we look back and thank all those who built, supported, and made this congregation into all that it is.

We thank all those who continue to be the beating heart of a congregation that has become a vibrant hub of Jewish community life in Central MA.

We hope that you will continue on the journey with us.

Please take a look below at our summary of the year - this has been a bumper year of wonderful gatherings and special events that have brought so many of us together.  We hope that you will continue to build these connections with us!

Membership Renewal information will be arriving in your inbox next week. With the launch of our new membership management system, ShulCloud, there will be some new information coming your way regarding renewal of membership and school registration. We hope that you'll find the new interface on our temple website a great improvement, with new options available to you. If you need any help with the technology, or would prefer a person-to-person connection, our administrative staff are here at the temple to assist you by phone or in the office.
Over 600 people attended our social and cultural programs,
including the Rabbi's Summer BBQ, Shabbat Restaurant Week, Iron Chef Passover and Wine Tasting, Dueling Delis, Brotherhood and Sisterhood programs, and our CBS Social Club small
group activities.
Over 70 students and adults joined us for one of our community trips
such as the congregational trip to Israel, our 9th grade trip to NYC, 10th grade trip to DC, Post-Confirmation trip to Philadelphia, Sisterhood trip to the Yiddish Book Center, and more.

Our special events to enhance our festival celebrations brought together over 450 members
including our Erev Sukkot family dinner, adult program on supporting refugees, Hanukkah dinner, Purim Shpiel and Carnival, and Congregational Seder.
Our congregation enables many to fully participate in Jewish life
by never turning anyone away from congregational membership for financial reasons, helping members attend all of our social and cultural programming, providing scholarships to enable our youth to attend Jewish summer camp programs and NFTY Regional youth events, and providing additional, confidential financial support to members in need through the Rabbi Debra Hachen Caring Fund, CBS Cares, and the Rabbi's Discretionary Fund.
100 Life Cycle Events...
11 Confirmations

New Improvements to better connect you...
  • New membership management system, ShulCloud, enabling member management of personal information, clear event information and online forms for all temple programs, the option of paying by credit card for membership dues, and the ability of temple staff to better connect our members.
  • Repairs to our Shabbat prayer books and additional stock to provide for large gatherings.
  • New CBS Social Clubs, enabling small group gatherings around common interests that can be organized and facilitated by any member of the congregation.
Making every dollar count...

We value your membership, and our hardworking volunteer lay leadership on our Board and Finance Committee are invested in making every dollar we receive count so that we can continue to build community connections.

We  are committed to being a spiritual home for all. Our confidential membership adjustment application enables all who wish to be part of Jewish community to belong.  We are also incredibly grateful to members with the means to pledge additional financial support to the congregation, enabling us to remain financially stable while maintaining our commitment to welcome all.  If you have the ability to provide a higher level of support through Project Share, we thank you for your consideration and generosity.

As we look toward to the coming year, please know that we, Rabbi Eiduson, our Temple Administrator, Steve Winer, and our Board of Directors are always eager to hear your ideas and feedback that can aid us all, working together with our members, to become more of the community we seek to be.

In gratitude,
Rabbi Rachel Gurevitz and Temple President, Rob Blumberg
