Thanking Our Own Living Treasure

Celebrate 18 years of employment of Mr. Sharafi, the Manager of our sponsorship Department! Mr. Sharafi was Child Foundation's first employee.

Thanks to Mr. Sharafi and many other employees who joined our team later, and hundreds of devoted volunteers, Child Foundation has become an international organization that supports thousands of children around the world. Without the loyalty and hard work of experts like him, we could never have achieved our present stature.

We are also working on our Thanksgiving campaign. You can donate to help children around the world through Child Foundation here.

Thank you

Kamyar Lashgari
President & CEO
Who is Coming to Dinner This Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving, a national holiday where we share our blessings with others is just a few short weeks away.

This year, Child Foundation is working with a few trusted local charities and volunteers to provide you with a number of opportunities to children of Afghanistan, Cambodia, Iran, Syria, Myanmar and Uganda.

To share your blessings with them, we kindly request that you donate generously to our Food Package Fund.
Meet Hussein, from Shiraz

My parents got divorced because of the addiction problem of my father. I now live with my mother and grandfather in his house. My mother used to work as sale person in stores, but not anymore because she has to take care of my old grandfather and her brother who is suffering from spinal cord injury.

My mother has a loan of 2 Million Tooman which is used for grandfather's house deposit.  I am a talented student with a perfect GPA and hardworking student, and I hope that by supporting me, I can have a better future.
Thank You Iowa & Illinois Volunteers!
Our wonderful volunteers in Iowa arranged a fundraising breakfast and collected $500 donation to help children in need.

Our volunteers in Illinois collected $14,800 to support our back to school efforts for children in need.

If you wish to do the same and volunteer for Child Foundation, please visit our volunteer page here.

Hi, I'm Yekta!
I am a talented student of second grade in the city of Zabul.

Unfortunately, my father drowned in 2009, and my mother does not have a steady job. Their only sources of income are government subsidies, and we live in an old shabby room that belongs to my grandfather. My mother took a loan to build a larger place for her three children, but at this point cannot afford to finish the walls, tiling the floor.

We do not have an AC, and our refrigerator is broken. I love school, and my teachers love me but I need your support to continue.

A Cool Gift for a Cool  Girl
Atefeh is a student with the perfect GPA of 20/20 and lives in a village in Sistan Baluchestan.

When her sponsor, Mahsa who lives in Australia learned that Atefeh's house lacks a refrigerator, she ordered one for her!

Atefeh in her letter thanked Mahsa and promised that she would continue her education until she becomes a doctor.
Painting Exhibition
Child Foundation has been collaborating with the Health and Art (HEART) group in combining the efforts of medical doctors and artists in order to help sick children in their time of need.

Encouraging children to make art can show them that, though bad things happen, there is always hope and beauty in the world.

Some of the paintings are exhibited in Child Foundation's Portland office along with other cities in the world on November 13.
