Perhaps many of you are too young to remember this OLD commercial:

THANKS-I NEEDED THAT" was an after-shave commercial from the early 70'S.
Job wrote, MANY years earlier, "We count them HAPPY which ENDURE!"
SELAH-Think about that for a moment, PLEASE!
HAPPY which ENDURE!!??
Much has been said and even more preached on the "sad, pitiful" life of "poor old Job!!"
In fact, 42 Chapters of the Bible are dedicated to this one man's life story, and two other references are made of him, Eze.14&20 and the above quoted Scripture.
And, NO ONE wants to be A "Job" and ANYONE with good sense NEVER PRAYS to "have the PATIENCE of Job!!!!!"
Instead, WE PRAY to be an overnight success and WINNER like Kurt Warner, the world famous grocery bag man who went on to win several Super Bowls!!!

Job was NOT an "overnight success!"
I do not know how long Job endured, but one thing my dear son Joshua pointed out to me several years ago is this ONE obscure Scripture:

10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Ya see, DEAR READER, God CAN and DOES "TURN CAPTIVITY!!!!!!"
Psalm 126:1 (KJV)

When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
Please note the Bible precisely uses the Word "WHEN," not "IF!"

WHEN the Lord turned again the captivity of (insert YOUR name or situation here___"
Then, WHEN the Lord turns again YOUR captivity, WE will:

Or, as the above commercial said, "THANKS! I NEEDED THAT!!"
At the funeral I officiated last week, an older saint approached me with a huge bandage on his forehead-you could not help but notice it.
I had not seen him in many years and he told me his story-one that I have often heard over these many years of SERVING Jesus.
While clearing his land, he struck his head on a tree branch and a wound was INFLICTED on his skin.
For 7 to 8 months if refused to heal and a trip to the dermatologist was necessitated.
CANCER was discovered and treated, but had that wound NOT been inflicted, the
CANCER could have possibly grown worse and UN-detected!!!
CAN YOU SAY:
