One more weekend of Trails & Sails!

Join GWL on Sept. 23th for a Spicket Greenway walk and Sept. 24th for a hike through Den Rock Park  to celebrate  Essex Heritage's TRAILS & SAILS: Two Weekends of Walks & Water. Trails & Sails  is an annual celebration of the myriad historic, cultural and natural places found within the Essex National Heritage Area.
TRAILS & SAILS 2017 is sponsored by Eastern Bank and Institution of Savings.
Essex Heritage is the non-profit organization that manages the Essex National Heritage Area (ENHA) and promotes recreation, education, conservation and interpretation projects. ENHA is comprised of the 34 cities and towns of Essex County, MA. For more information, visit or call (978) 740-0444. 
Glow Gala 2017:
Growing Minds, Cultivating Change
Glow Gala 2017 is around the corner and Groundwork Lawrence is excited to engage supporters in a celebration of 16 years of our mission and programming! On November 16th from 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm on the first floor of the Everett Mill in Lawrence, join us for an evening of fun featuring auctions, raffles, delicious food, and a presentation from our Green Team youth. 

We are currently looking for artists to submit Eco-Art to our gala! You can find information on our website  here, including instructions and submission forms. We look forward to seeing your works of art!

Partnership for the Buckley Garage 
Please join us on this Wednesday at 5:30 PM at Northern Essex Community College's El-Hefni Building,  414 Common Street, Lawrence to
kick-off the Partnership for the Buckley  
This project will transform the City's downtown transportation hub into a vibrant and welcoming space through place-making and public art.  It is also the first component to be implemented as part of Lawrence's new Urban Renewal Plan, Lawrence TBD.
Farmers Markets Open Through October!
As summer wanes into fall, you can be glad that the  Lawrence and Methuen Farmers Markets  are still in season! You can get fresh fruits, vegetables, and other goodies until October 28th on Wednesdays, F ridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Our vendors participate in the Healthy Incentives Program, which means that SNAP recipients can increase their monthly benefits by purchasing fresh produce at Lawrence and Methuen Farmers Markets.

Farmers Markets managed by Groundwork  Lawrence are generously  supported in part by Harvard Pilgrim  Healthcare Foundation, Bank of America Foundation, Holy Family Hospital, Lawrence General Hospital, the City of Lawrence, the City of Methuen, Methuen VIllage, and Rumbo.
