"The Nia class can be like snorkeling on a beautiful reef - we enjoy being on the surface of the water, diving deep sometimes but only for brief moments. In the Nia White Belt Training we put on on full scuba diving gear and get to dive deep for longer periods of time in an extraordinarily enchanting and sensual world of music, movement and magic. If you enjoy the Nia class, you will LOVE the Nia White Belt Training."

-- Randee Fox, Nia Faculty Trainer

Nia White Belt Training takes you on a journey of self-discovery by exploring the art of sensation. Beginning with the Joy of Movement, you learn 13 principles for body-centered awareness. Each principle teaches you a variety of somatic skills for connecting to physical sensation in your body. Through the science, craft and art of sensation, you will learn Nia's body-centered approach to health, wellness and fitness. Crafting with sensation is the starting point for all Nia teachers. The Art of Sensation is what brings magic to the Nia class experience.

A time for gratitude
Special thanks to our team of skilled east side NiaSeattle teachers - Betty Lai, Ginger Atherton, Heather Riley, Jill Klenota, Karla Steele Siebe, Pauline Osborne, Sarah Love, Sue Campbell, Susan Creighton, Veronica Connolly-Bagshaw and Vicci Kane for teaching your classes and covering my classes when needed. Thanks to you, east side NiaSeattle students rarely miss a scheduled class.

More thanks to our entire NiaSeattle community of teachers who teach and cover classes all over the greater Puget Sound Region. I am very proud to be a member of such a strong and aligned community.

For those of you who have made it your health ritual to come to my classes, you ROCK my world every day and I never take you for granted. Thank you for the effort you make to show up, for your presence, your creativity, your willingness to share your dance and your warm, open smiles.

See you on the dance floor and Happy Thanksgiving!

The Joy of dancing with community

"The cords of connection go very deep on the dance floor and continue long after the class. The creative Human Soul is nourished, dancing with community, and longs to return for more. As we become more relaxed in our dance, the cords become 'chords' sung through our tuning fork-like bodies allowing us to 'right' our tone, release energetic buildup and return our bodies and lives to harmony - daily."
