We'll hold our Annual Thanksgiving Service this Sunday in the Chapel at 10:00 am. Ken Hall and Tom "the Professor" Bowling will provide music, and Tom Dickelman will preach. There will be Roots & Wings Sunday School for children for K thru 5, and Little Angels for newborn through pre-school. We hope to see you!
HEAL - the powerful documentary - will be shown at Gorton's Hughes Theater on 11/29 with shows @ noon and 6:30 p.m. Sponsored by Forever OM & co-sponsored by the our Church, Kristen Weisberg, tickets are $20 and available online HERE or at the door if not sold out. trailer
Roots & Wings Sunday School for K - 5 is set for this Sunday! Just meet Mrs. Koch & Mrs. Stevenson in the back of the Chapel during announcements. The affirmation for this week is: “I am part of all creation” mirroring Romans 1:20. “Ever since the creation of the world, God’s eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things God has made.” We will explore how we are never truly separate from anyone or anything in the universe.

Feed My Starving Children
6:00 pm-7:30 pm December 11th (Monday)

Hello Community Church HSG,

This holiday season the C ommunity Church high school group  is volunteering at Feed My Starving Children, an organization that helps feed children who live in places and circumstances where food scarcity is great and starvation is possible. At the FMSC event we will help fill bags with food and learn more about how our volunteering for one evening (a relatively short amount of time) helps keep hungry children's bellies full and bodies nourished.

We will stop for dinner at Silo on our return. Please RSVP (you are welcome to bring a friend) Zach. Chaperones are also needed. Meet at the church office at 5:30 pm 12/11/17 (117 Scranton - downtown Lake Bluff)

If you are driving or willing to drive, please let me know. If you are planning to go but need a ride, let me know. We will arrange drivers and riders.
If you need to, or prefer to go directly to FMSC at 6 pm, that is fine, just let me know so that all persons needing a ride have one.

FMSC address
742 E Park Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048

Come and feed,

Zach

Ken's World of Music

Hi Folks,

I have just one show to mention this week. The newest member of our circle of musicians, Dana Lawrence Gillis will be playing a short set at the Legendary Wooden Nickel in Highwood from 8-8:30 pm on Saturday November 25th. She’ll be showcasing her original music on this one, so it would be a great idea to go show some support. Have a wonderful weekend!
