Spend an outstanding day of learning, networking and enjoying farm fresh local products prepared by fantastic chefs from the Mill Creek Country Club. 

The conference will feature 24 great workshop classes in seven industry tracks, presented by some of the top experts in the country:  Focus on Forestry workshops; Business of Farming; Export Opportunities; Food Safety Modernization Act - Are You Ready?; Hot Topics;  Livestock Production; New Production Opportunities; and Sustainable Lands Strategy.

Mom's Heaven Scent Apple Pie
This recipe was the Heritage Contest Winner submitted by Holly Huschka at the 1999 Evergreen State Fair which may become your Thanksgiving dinner favorite. Consider entering your favorite recipe in the 2017 Evergreen State Fair.   Fair-time is a great time to try something new and fun. Contests are geared for all ages and skill levels. 


4 cups sliced fruit (apples, peaches, mixed berries)    1 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon cinnamon                                               1/2 tsp nutmeg (optional)
1 to 1-1/2 Tbs corn starch, as needed                         1 to 1-1/2 Tbs flour, as needed
Squeeze of lemon juice (enough to cover fruit to avoid discoloration)

Mix together sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour over/stir into fruit.
Pour into unbaked pie shell. Add top crust. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar (optional).
Bake at 425 degrees F for 15 minutes then at 350 degrees F for an additional 20-30 minutes.
