Worship with us this Sunday morning - Traditional at 9:30am; Informal at 11:00am. Our scriptures are Psalm 100 and Matthew 25:31-26. Please pray for our six high school sophomores who will be confirmed at the Traditional Service (Anthony, Andrew, Alek, Ian, Maya, Julia) when we will also share the sacrament of communion at our open table. At our Informal Service, we will participate in a Bibliodrama to help us reflect on the scriptures and our own lives. Join us on for worship - and invite someone to come with you!
We will receive our annual offering for ECH - Every Child's Hope (formerly Evangelical Children's Home or the German Orphanage). ECH was started in 1858 by Pastor Nollau - our first pastor at PUCC. Each year at Thanksgiving the kids would come and sing in our worship service and they would go back with a pick-up truck filled with all kinds of nourishment and blessing from our farms and kitchens. We continue this tradition by receiving a financial offering each year. Read about the ECH Christmas Store here...
To learn more about ECH, please visit www.everychildshope.org
We continue to collect your gifts of hats, gloves, mittens, scarves to be distributed through some of our mission partners in St Louis.
Want to do something tangible for the people of Ferguson? Lots of ideas here...

When my daughter, Kelli, said her bedtime prayers, she would bless every family member, every friend, and every animal (current and past).
For several weeks, after we had finished the nightly prayer, Kelli would say, "And all girls." This soon became part of her nightly routine, to include this closing. My curiosity got the best of me and I asked her, "Kelli, why do you always add the part about all girls?" Her response, "Because everybody always finish their prayers by saying "All Men"!"

There are no shortcuts. The road cannot be made by wishing, by whining or by talking. It can be made only by walking, day after day, step by step, struggle by struggle. It's easier, it turns out, to get people out of slavery than it is to get slavery out of people. So, people, let us walk the road - right through the middle of the desert. ~Brian McLaren
