√ If you are going to someone's home for the big turkey meal, bring a platter of fresh veggies that you can eat as an appetizer.

√  If you are inviting family over, of course you are in better control. Make sure you send them away with food that will be tempting post Thanksgiving.  Buy plastic "left over" containers and send them off with the mash potatoes and gravy; cranberries and pies. They'll be happy and your waist will be too.

√  Chew sugar free gum if you are cooking for the crowd, so you won't be tempted to do any tasting. Have someone else taste the gravy to see if it is "just right"!  You'll be surprised what little tastes here and there will add up to.
√  Start your morning like every Take Shape For Life day, eating every 3 hrs. and drinking lots of water as usual.

√  Drink a huge Medifast shake before visiting your relatives to help curb your appetite so the appetizers won't look so enticing.  

√  Save your favorite Medifast crunch bar for dessert, while others are gaining weight with their pumpkin pie. 

√  Drink the Medifast Infusers or sugar free Crystal Light in seltzer, using a wine or champagne glass.  Why not???  Bring the seltzer so you know it will be available.  If you have a glass in your hand, the hostess won't continually offer you a drink!
On Plan Recipes
√  Bring a bowl of Mashed Cauliflower (looks like mashed potatoes) to the celebration.  
  • Steam cauliflower with chicken broth (for great flavor). 
  • Mash like you would potatoes.  
  • You can use 10 spritz of "I Can't Believe It's Butter" spray on your serving for extra flavor.  
  • Make a lot because folks will really like this.
√  Or make Cauliflower RICE
  • Process fresh cauliflower in food processor until it is the size of rice, either using the plain steel blade or the shredder blade.
  • If you don t have a food processor you could also use a hand-held grater or cut it very finely by hand.
  • Cook the Low Carb Cauliflower Rice by placing the riced cauliflower into a microwave safe covered dish.
  • Cook in the microwave for 4-5 minutes. You don t need to add any water, just cook it as is. 
  • When it's done, you'll have a slightly firm, but tender rice alternative.
