Tim's column in
Connect Savannah

Genuine ethnic food is becoming easier to find in Savannah -- thanks to the opening of Savannah Authentic Filipino Cuisine at Waters Avenue and 70th Street.
I stopped in for lunch this week and over-ate on lumpia -- which means I MUST go back for adobo!

Sweet and Spice, a Jamaican-themed diner, is open right next door. And, one of my favorite breakfast haunts, Golden Breakfast, closed. In it's place is a new Puerto Rican eatery. I have not tried these two yet. You can find the Puerto Rican joint at 310 Montgomery Cross Road.

Lunch Sol

Habersham Street eatery Sol is now open for lunch service Tuesday-Saturday 11 a.m.-3 p.m. There's awesome food coming out this kitchen and I'm glad I've got an extra half day to squeeze Sol into my "recreational" dining. 1611 Habersham St.
