Dear Girl Scout Family

Over the lunch hour today I got to give a presentation to a Kiwanis Club in our service area. There were about 30 people in the room -- a pretty nice-sized group. I really enjoy getting out in the public and talking about the GREAT things happening in Girl Scouts so I thank you for continuing to share your stories!

I opened the presentation with "my version" of  the phone call Juliette made when she returned from England and called her friend to come over and start Girl Scouting that very night. Re-telling that story brings me back to the excitement and wonder of my first time as a Girl Scout. You might even say it gives me the "I can't wait to ..." feeling.

Over the next few months, we'll be welcoming our new sisters into Girl Scouting. Let's use their enthusiasm and excitement to build and grow our program ... just like Juliette did.

p.s. Juliette Gordon Low's birthday is coming up October 31. If you're having a party, why not invite a friend to join in on the fun!
