Greetings!

My age is showing.  Too much time working the Rat Pack shows at Harrah's South Shore Room at Lake Tahoe in the early 70s.  Call me crazy or corny, but listening to Dino sing "That's Amore" instantly puts me back in the mood to focus on planning the itinerary for our 3 week business-tasting trip to Italy at the end of March.

Your response to the 08 IL TRULLO PRIMITIVO from Puglia has been outstanding.

You don't need to be leary of import values, if you know where to look for them, or have confidence in a merchant's ability to find them.  For some of you doubters who need a little nudging, we will have this $10.75 gem open for you this Friday afternoon when we take delivery, and at Saturday's Tasting Bar from Noon to 4pm.

  

  

The 08 Vita Il Trullo Primitivo from Salento is a classic, made from 40-year-old head-trained vines, fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to keep its freshness and focus.  Very enjoyable now!  Perfect with pizza or the upcoming BBQ season!  A casual drink, but with a nice grip and structure, and a surprising depth of savory, dark bramble berry fruits ..... no hint of gloppy sweetness, or high alcohol, that can plague many new world Zins.  The 08 Vita Il Trullo Primitivo surpasses all expectations at this price!   It would be a great drink at $20+ a bottle.  Back up the party truck!    Plenty of availability for now - Order by replying directly to this email.
