2013 OOCCL Home Tour

We are excited to announce that the homes for the 2013 Old Oak Cliff Conservation League Fall Home Tour have been chosen.  This year, we will have 12 homes.  Seven different neighborhoods are represented; two of which have never had a tour home as far as we know.  The oldest home is from 1927 and the newest was built in 2007.

One of the more interesting things to see this year is an underground, intact, nuclear fallout shelter in the backyard of a 1955 Kessler Park home.  Constructed of concrete and molten lead, the shelter was designed for 3 people to survive a nuclear explosion.  Many other homes in the area have fallout shelters but not many are quite as elaborate as this one.

Please join us for the Home Tour Reveal at TECO's Bishop Arts Theater at 7:00 pm on September 9th.  The Bishop Arts Theater is located 215 S. Tyler.

This year, over $20,000.00 will be distributed to our member neighborhoods and area non-profits from money made from last year's tour.  The neighborhoods depend on this money for things like pocket parks, sign toppers, security or communication projects.

We have just begun our Tier II non-profit grant process.  Download the 2013 non-profit application HERE.

We are very grateful to our generous sponsors, advertisers, patrons and homeowners who make all this possible.  We could not do it without you!

We have extended our 20% off sponsorship and ad rates until July 29th.  CLICK HERE and pay by July 29th to take advantage of this great deal.  Help us make Oak Cliff an even better place to live!

Thank you,

The 2013 OOCCL Home Tour Committee
