Season is here and there are always activities going on all over our very active country club. On Friday evening we had plans for dinner in the main dining room with two couples from Addison. Before dinner, we decided to have a cocktail at Styr while enjoying the company of quite a few other members doing the same. After cocktails we ventured into "Taste" for a lavish dinner with background music which enhanced our dining experience. What a lovely night for all. Saturday evening our friends decided to dine as we did the previous night. After their dinner, we happened to meet them at Styr for cappuccinos and cookies. They too mentioned what a delightful experience they had at "Taste," and especially mentioned the background music of The Will Bridges Duo, a very popular easy listening duo that comes to Addison often. This is truly Addison at its best!
On Saturday morning, Addison had a Valentine's Round Robin for their members. Each match consisted of 7 games with a no add scoring. Winners moved up and losers moved down in a ladder formate. We played 3 matches each and everyone seemed to be enjoying the day tremendously! The weather was magnificent as well!
On Sunday, Addison had its "Valentine Day Couples Tournament". As usual, Karen & Kevin, our co-directors of golf, and their staff, organized a wonderful event. It was a beautiful afternoon of golf followed by a delicious buffet dinner and award presentation. The weather was most co-operative, as usual. Just a side note, not that we are peeping toms but, as we watched the tournament from our balcony, we witness a lot of Hanky Panky going on the 6th hole of Trepidation. It appears that Addison has a lot of frisky loving couples, "Lucky Addison Reserve!"

Valentine's Day was, as always, a special day for our ladies here in Addison Reserve. Tuesday, normally Ladies Day, was even more special as our ladies dressed in red to celebrate this very special day. Our dining room was, as always, set up for this special occasion for both lunch and dinner. Most of our women were decked out for these events. Love was noticeably in the air. Every women was presently with a box of chocolate after a gourmet dinner to commemorate the evening.
Tonight at 5:00, in the private dining room, Addison Reserve will host The Golden Age of Jewish Humor Part 3 with Stephen Z. Cohen, PHD. Dr. Cohen has been here before and he has given us an engaging, as well as intellectual & entertaining afternoon. He has been most compared to the ever popular Myron Cohen & Sam Levinson, both world renowned Jewish comedians. Come laugh and reminisce as he explores the "golden age" of Jewish humor in America.
