Friday evening Addison Reserve held its 2nd Traditional Shabbat Dinner this season. Over 180 members and their guests, enjoyed a traditional Shabbat feast while conducting small groups of prayers throughout the meal. It's good to remember where we come from and enjoy a dinner with family and friends like our ancestors did every Friday night.
Luckily for most of us, life is a celebration of accomplishments. Here in Addison Reserve, we celebrated, this week, our March Madness of Golf Club Championships, and what a tournament it was. We had 8 former club champions trying to knock off last year's champion but to no avail. Our repeat Golf Club Champion for the year 2016-2017 is Stu Ganslaw, who defeated former club champion Dr. Ron Fischer in a hard fought final round of talented and well played golf. The men's Flight 2 was also a hard fought match won by former club champion Jeff Krauss who defeated Michael Levin. In Flight 3, David Schweid defeated Jack Ruhs in a heated battle to say the least, and in Flight 4, Herb Wieder, a perennial winner, defeated David Katz. Not to be outdone, our Ladies' Golf Club Champion is again, Carole Sue Spector who defeated, for the second straight year, Johanne Paquet, in the finals of a hard fought match. In Flight 2, Bonnie Gaines defeated Rona Miller. Congratulation to all of our participants.
WINNER TWO YEARS IN SUCCESSION !
Our Pickleballers have been very busy this season. We keep growing in numbers every day. Men and women play together happily, without the snobbery that sometimes follows other sports. The courts are now busy 7 days a week. Win or loose, it's great fun and even better exercise!
On Monday, March 20th, Addison Reserve had it's town meeting. Future plans were discussed and projections were made. Our new contractor was introduced to the members and we discussed the new project that is to be completed by November of 2018. Afterwards, everyone adjourned to Styr where a feast was served.

Shelly & Steve Dreifuss are still on their vacation. Now they are at La Bamba de Areco. The weather certainly looks better!

Patti & Horace Cohen's Granddaughter, Mara Chadnick, is a trade Lawyer for the Canadian Government. Mr. Trump, Watch out!!! She specialized in International law, on trade agreements between countries. She's not only smart but very beautiful as well. Patti & Horace are extremely proud!
Mara's brother, Zachary Chadnick, will be the next Surgeon at Staten
Island University Hospital. Canada
only allows 10 surgical residents to get a visa to work outside of the country. Only the best are offered this opportunity.
Also they must be at the top of their chosen field for an American hospital to go the distance to take on the extra work & expense of taking a Canadian. To say the least we are thrilled. He deserves it. We love this kid!!!
These 2 grandchildren are a Jewish grandparent's dream, "a Doctor and a Lawyer in one family!" Wow, that's impressive!

As for our Addison Reserve real estate update, we now have 42 homes on the market for sale. Our prices range from $295,000-$4,675,000.
