Our extreme heat advisory is gone and now we are in the midst of a balmy mid to high 80's & 90's, sarcasm, with very little rain to dampen our days. The heat of the past 2 weeks took its toll on our outdoor play but, tennis & pickleball remain busy until mid-afternoon and golf is still being played all day with many members and guests even playing in the late afternoon hours until dusk.
Please don't forget, Addison offers it's members free tennis clinics 6 days a week. All you have to do is sign up at the tennis pro shop to make arrangements. We assure you that your time will be well spent learning many valuable techniques to improve your game. Also, our golf professionals are available 7 days a week for lessons, and remember on Friday at 4:00, weather permitting, we have our skills challenge. Come see if you can beat our weekly winners, DR. Ron Fisher or Rich Shullman. They can be beat, it has happened. Come on, show them what your made of.
On the topic of pickleball, we at Addison Reserve are in the midst of a discussion about how many new permanent pickleball courts we are going to build and where they will be located. We are looking for the most practical place and the most cost efficient alternative. Some feel that 3 new courts should be located at our basketball site, which then begs the question, Where will we relocate the basketball courts and at what expense? Others agree that the basketball court should stay where it is and instead we should use Tennis Court 4 to build 4 new pickleball courts on.
We can only agree with Steven Dreifuss when he says,
" Addison Reserve is a visionary club. It is the best place to live and play with an educated, accomplished membership and a dedicated, highly trained professional staff. We remain in the forefront of resort communities nationwide." Hence, we are sure that our board and Mike McCarthy will make the right decision.

Our card rooms continue to be extremely busy. Our ladies and men's guest policies are allowing guests all summer which enables our members to continue having enjoyable games year round. Of course, when season begins in November, our guest policies will return to normal.
Friday evening at Styr was again the place to be. Every first Friday of the month is "Happy Hour" at Styr, drinks are half price. The hors d'oeuvres are always so tasty and the crowd is always a little louder and a little more vivacious, we wonder why?

Fred Ballaci, a single man, ladies, who lives on Talavera Place, is on the move again! He doesn't seem to stay in one place for too long. Here he is hiking on Maroon Bells, the most beautiful peeks located on the Elk Mountains in Colorado.

Beth and Dale Frost are visiting downtown Detroit, which has been re-gentrified. Maybe they needed a new car!

Marcia and Dr. Nolan Berman have also been doing a lot of traveling. This summer they have been all over visiting different members of their family as we have shared with you. This time they are with Nolan's family, his sons and their wives and his brother, all of whom live in San Diego, California. They were all dining in the Little Italy neighborhood.

Bruce Fleisher, Bob Gaynor, and Danny Mironov, all Addison members, meeting at Cordellia in Colorado for a round of golf. It seems that Colorado is a very popular destination for Addison Reserve members!

Ed Cohen caught this 12 lbs. Trout in Colorado last week. Oh my, another Addison member in Colorado! We've never been, we will have to check it out next summer.

"BUZZ'S BIG BRAG BOX"
Cherie and Larry Gross' son and daughter-in-law, just bought a beautiful, newly renovated home in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey. This is Mark & Heather's first home. Their 2 little guys, Jaxson and Grayson, are really enjoying all the space. In Manhattan they couldn't just go our in their backyard to play, but now they have a tremendous amount of property to run and play! Congrats to all!

Judy and Michael Breslow's grandson, Trevor, was our Bus Boy at New York Prime last week, when we took Brandon, our grandson, there for his 16th birthday. It's so nice to see a young college man do such a good job. Kudos Trevor!

As for our Addison Reserve real estate update, we now have 38 homes on the market for sale. Our prices range from $380,000-$3,975,000. We have 30 homes with golf and 8 homes with sports memberships, of which 15 are estate and 23 are zero lot line homes. This past week 3 homes sold here in Addison Reserve. The first, 7590 Playa Rienta Way, a 3 bedroom, plus office, golf membership home, was asking $925,000 and sold for $900,000. The second was 16046 Via Monteverde.
