Friday, "Styr" again was the place to be. As has become a custom, members and friends meet up at Styr to enjoy each other's company as well as meeting and greeting all that are in the room. They meet at the bar, or at the hors d'oeuvres area or on the dance floor. This week, we decided to dine out for a change of pace. However, we didn't want to miss the Friday excitement of Styr so we came back for coffee and dessert. Our friends looked around the room and commented on all the new faces they have seen this past season. It is so nice to see so many new families enjoying our lifestyle, some with young children. Everybody loves our Styr, always a happening.

Saturday evening Addison members and guests enjoyed a fine dining experience in "Taste", our main dining room. Over 140 members and guests were treated to Chef Zach's delicious choices of cuisine and also enjoyed Dana's pastry delights for dessert. A lovely combo supplied background music for all to enjoy.

LADIES CLOSING GOLF TOURNAMENT
This past Tuesday was the official ladies closing golf tournament, however if you wish to continue the
competition with fellow members
for a few addition weeks, Addison will provide the opportunity. Karen & Kevin and their team will continue to make games for those who are still here and interested, others will make their own foursomes.
We started the day with a beautiful and varied breakfast in the main dining room. Everyone was excited to be there. A few of us even dressed for the theme, which was emojis. As you can see from the pictures, the color scheme was yellow, red and black. The next part, the actual golf, is always both challenging and fun! Winners were announced and awards were given at our fantastic and extensive
luncheon,
the best part of the day! For those of you returning North, we wish you a wonderful summer and look forward to your return next season. We promise to continue to keep you all well informed about everything happening here in Addison Reserve, while you are gone!

Season is winding down. Many of our members have already left with more to follow. But, as has been the case in every previous years, many of our part time residents have become full time residents, which is a natural progression. We are a full time, 12 month a year, active community. Our golf & tennis programs seem to be busier this year than in the past and let's not forget pickleball, the newest sport to hit the Florida circuit in recent memory. We now have 4 brand new, beautiful courts for our players to enjoy. The players are there 7 days a week. Pickleball provides great exercise with a wonderful cardio workout. Try it, you'll love it.

A LITTLE CONSTRUCTION NEVER HURT ANYONE!
Our construction of the new Esplanade, Fitness Center, Bistro & Pool is well under way. Every week we see more and more of the build out and our hope is that with no issues occurring weather wise, we will be enjoying our new facilities and an even better Addison Reserve, come late winter or early spring of 2019. We can't wait!

DOWNTOWN DELRAY BEACH
This past weekend, from April 13th through April 15th, was
the annual Arts Fair in Downtown Delray Beach on Atlantic Ave. As usual, there was lots of food, creative arts, and lots of people. This is always a nice way to take a stroll in the beautiful sunshine that Florida most often offers us. This year was no exception!

The weather all over our country has been surprisingly nasty, especially over the northern sectors, much snow, as well as the mid-west. Tornados are abundant from Louisiana up to the Ohio Valley. The northern states are getting snow and remember, this is the spring, flowers should be blooming and snow skis should be put away for the season. Torrential rains are hitting the east coast and cancelling many of the major league baseball games. But here in Addison, it's gorgeous. Yes, we did have a downpour on Sunday morning from 8:30-9:00 AM, but, the rain stopped, the skies cleared, and our players went out and played pickleball and golf, all afternoon. Here at Addison, we don't miss a beat.

Gary & Gail Brown were just visiting Madjanck, near Lublin, Poland. They spent 1 week in Poland, participating in the annual "March of the Living."

for Israel's 70th anniversary. Here they are pictured at the famous
Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, commemorating the 6 million Jews who died throughout Europe during WWII.
