This past Thursday, our summer Men's Emerald League, which consists of 10 local country clubs competing at each other's country clubs, played their 5
th
competition of a 10 week schedule. This past week our Addison Reserve team had a banner week, outplaying all opponents for the day. We now stand in 5
th
place and we are making our move up the ladder.
Good luck boys, do us proud!
Season is over, daylight savings time is upon us, our sports members are now allowed to play unlimited golf, but, too bad, it's raining so much. Whatever drought we had, is nothing more than a fond memory because now it just won't stop raining on our parade. Luckily, Friday morning the rain held up for a while and we got in some golf, tennis & pickleball action, but then the skies opened up and washed out all thoughts of afternoon play. Saturday was a total washout with lightning & thunder all day. Sunday morning was a no go for sports, as well, but by afternoon, quite a few players were seen on the golf course. The tennis & pickleball courts were just too wet to play.

Friday night at Styr was again the place to be. Many members and guests showed up to enjoy our delicious hors d'oeuvres and drinks as well as the 2 piece combo that played the night away. Quite a few of our members danced, some even looked professional. It's always fun meeting our fellow members at "Styr".

Sunday evening we had a delightful evening buffet at Taste, our main dining room.
Staff & Members together, we are all one big happy family!

Joe Bernstein getting in a little pitching as soon as the range opened late after the rains on Sunday.
Karen, our golf professional, was short handed on Sunday, so as soon as the rain stopped on Sunday, Karen personally hauled out the range balls. This shows her commitment to members enjoyment.

Andrea Miller is having the time of her life! She has left her husband, Robert, home so he can work and is traveling with a friend. In Langa, an area in Capetown, 2 young girls were so happy to see her that they just jumped in her arms. Is she bringing them home? No, animals are her thing, not children. Also, she photographed a Leopard in Botswana. Andrea is really enjoying her trip. Come back to us safely! South Africa is definitely on our bucket list!

On another side of the world, Nicole & Len Spivak are visiting Montecarlo and Cannes during the film festival. They are cruising down the French, Italian, and Spanish Riviera. They too look extremely happy. Our Addison Reserve members really love to visit far away places! Have fun guys and come home soon, we need you on the Pickleball Courts.

arrived Friday 5/18/18 (double chai) at 11:52 A.M. weighing in at 7lbs. 11oz. Congrats to all!

Shelly & Bob Galardi are so very proud of their daughter Ali (on Right Side), but who wouldn't be! Ali is
attending New York's PUBLIC LIBRARY DINNER, last Thursday with
New York's Glitterati, George Stephanopoulos, Ethan Hawk, the Revlon family and other well heeled charitable contributor's to the NY Library. "A great cause! Everyone, but especially our children, should read more!" This from a N.Y.C. retired reading teacher.

Dinning Out!
Dinning out, which is so much easier these days now that season is over, took us to a great Greek
Restaurant in Boca Raton, Jimmy the Greek. Not only is the food delicious, but Larry was fascinated by the entertainment. Wow, what a body. Maybe we should all be learning to dance this way!
Possibly Addison should start a new dance class for us at the
fitness
center, it look like a GREAT workout!

As for our Addison Reserve real estate update, we now have 50 homes on the market for sale. Our prices range from $419,000-$3,500,000. There are 14 estate homes and 36 zero lot line homes of which 11 have sports and 39 have golf memberships. The rain has definitely curtailed our showings with many clients delaying their arrivals or just cancelling their appointments because of the repeated threats of rain throughout the past week. It's very difficult and frustrating for our sellers to prepare for showings and then get last minute cancellations, but we guess that goes with the territory when trying to sell your home. We always apologize, but in truth, it's not in our control. This past week there were no homes that closed and no homes went under contract. But, there was one new listing placed onto the market on Casa Grande Way. This 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, golf membership home with a southern backyard overlooking the 6
th hole of Redemption golf course, is asking $629,000. There was also one dramatic price reduction on Via Monteverde. This 3 bedroom, plus office, golf membership home, was asking $499,000 and is now asking $449,000, an unbelievable deal.
