FRIDAY NIGHT AT "STYR"
This Friday night "Styr" was really hopping! We are getting pretty close to season and more and more people are returning to Addison Reserve, everyone's slice of paradise!
It's so much fun to see old friends again after a
relatively
quiet summer season.
Catching
up is always entertaining, and "Styr" is the perfect venue to do that in. All the people returning are so excited to see our newest addition, the fantastic new facility, our Lifestyle Center, and they will not be
disappointed
. It is truly the most magnificent place to spend time, with something to offer everyone. We are kicking off this new season with everyone's health and wellness in mind. Even the hors d'oeuvres at Styr are taking into consideration our health. There were a large variety of healthy foods to eat. Let's not forget the
live music in the Lounge! The entertainment was by Wayne L. We all enjoyed the wonderful vocals and music from 6:00pm to 9:00pm!
It has become our new habit, after having lots of fun in Styr, we retire into the main dinning room, Taste, for a delicious, well served meal in a quieter more elegant atmosphere.

2019-2020 ARWGA MENTOR PROGRAM
This a great new idea, a way to learn the rules and make new
acquaintances!
Dear ARWGA Members,
Fall has arrived, and many of us are migrating back to our beautiful homes in Addison Reserve. It will be a season of "New Beginnings". Aside from our new majestic Sports/ Spa/ Pool/ and Eatery, I am excited to introduce our new MENTOR PROGRAM.
The goal of this program is to continue and enhance Addison's reputation as a warm friendly inclusive club. When new members join our league, whether they are 18 or 9 holers, they will be asked if they would like a mentor.
What is a mentor? A mentor is a positive thinking, friendly and inclusive member. She is a person who knows golf course etiquette and general rules of golf. If there is a rule a mentor is not sure of.... not to worry, we have fabulous professionals to answer those questions. There are no handicap requirements if you meet the above criteria.
Please, if you would like to get involved with the ARWGA program , get in touch with Barbara Lieberman or Barbara Brody . We will work with our professionals to achieve the best pairings.
If you are a newer member of ARWGA, and a have not heard about our MENTOR PROGRAM, please contact either Barbara Lieberman or Barbara Brody.
Please note: You may be a player who has already been here for a year, or a Nine Holer who is looking to move into the Eighteen Hole League to be a recipient of the Mentor Program.

OUR NEW INTERNATIONAL STAFF ARE HERE !
Our International Staff members have begun to arrive, and more are coming next week. This year, we will have 86 new men and women join our team. Like every year, we go through extensive training for several weeks with them before they are integrated into our service operations. Many Members think that these men and women are only front of the house employees; that is not true. There are over 15 employees that go to the kitchen - those behind the scenes usually take a bit longer to adjust than some of our front of the house service positions. There will be some bumps in the road in October and November. Please be patient as this is part of the learning process that we go through in a seasonal business. By the time December 1 rolls around we will be hitting our stride - just like in years past.
To further assist our seasonal staff members with recognizing you and to allow us the opportunity to expand our Member Recognition Program, the
administration
asks that each of you who do not have a recent Membership card with an updated photo stop by the Administration office so they may take a picture of you! This is just one more way that Addison provides superior service to each of their Members.

REMINDERS
The Men's Discussion Group at Addison Reserve will begin its fourth season on November 6, 2019. Generally, the group meets every other Wednesday from 3:00pm to 4:45pm in the Vault or specified conference room.
Check the schedule for meeting location, which will be sent in advance of the meeting.
The discussions are intended to provide an opportunity for attendees to learn and to share views on the discussion topic. Some of the topics addressed in prior years include
× The future of organized religion
× What should be America's role in the world?
x Healthcare, can it be fixed?
x Is there a need to equitably redistribute wealth in our Country?

NAGLE FAMILY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES
Congregation B'nai Israel's annual Nagle Family Jewish Film Festival offers a series of inspiring films with hosts who introduce each film and lead a discussion afterward.
The films take place on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in the VIP Cocktail Lounge with popcorn and dessert accompanying each film. There is no cost for CBI members and a $10 donation per film for guests. The Film Festival is generously sponsored by the Nagle Family.

Not only do we now hove a Magnificent Lifestyle Center, but also, our main club house is getting a new matching roof and paint job. Also, we are working on filling in the Esplanade pool and paving the entire area for parking so we no longer will be using our streets.
