This time blessings showered down in the form of your very generous offerings for the upkeep of our Memorial Garden. My appreciation to the Vestry for finding a way to partially fund its monthly upkeep this year and designating the plate offering from the 5th Sunday in March for the Memorial Garden. However, I am especially
thankful for those of you who made the 5th Sunday plate offering so bountiful.
In April, some new plants will be added to the Memorial Garden. If anyone is available to help with the planting (as in digging holes), please contact me at gwall9407@austin.rr.com or 512-837-0644. After Easter I am free any Saturday in April to "supervise". Wishing each and every one of you a joyous Easter season.

The adult discussion group known as Wednesday Weavings resumes its gatherings this month, now that the Lenten Grace Series has concluded. We will meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays in April from 6:30 to 8 p.m. We share a simple meal, have a short time of centering prayer, and discuss a selected reading or topic for the evening. Because we discuss a different topic each time, feel free to come any Wednesday you can. Please bring a contribution for the salad bar meal (for example, fruit, vegetable, or crunchy toppings).
This month, the gatherings are on April 8th at Gayle and James Wall's home and April 22nd at Sarah Campbell's home. Copies of the reading will be available in church on the Sunday before the Wednesday gathering. Please join us if you can. For more information, e-mail Frances Rickard at fajrickard@gmail.com

You may have noticed new concrete near the Wright House, where the old Scout Hut slab used to be (for those of us old enough to remember it). This is for
three new visitor parking spaces, partly paid for by our Newcomer Ministries grant, and partly from our capital improvements fund. Striping and signage (including a directional sign at Ardenwood) will be added soon. Please help make our visitors feel welcome by leaving those spaces available to them!

The
next sew-in for SafePlace comfort bags will be April 19th
after the 10:30 am service. We had lots of fun and fellowship at the last one, and encourage people to give it at try. You don't have to be able to sew to help! We need people who can iron seams and lots of help stringing ribbons.
In addition to workers, we will need:
sewing machines, irons and ironing boards, scissors, needles, thread, fabric
(we have some on hand),
5/8" ribbon, seam rippers
...and it would be wonderful to have some f
inger food for lunch
.
We hope to see you in Kleberg
on the 19th!

The Church Office is Moving!
Come this May, the Wright House will become available for church use and the church office will be moving into the building. A number of renovations will be made during May, with the office officially moving when that work is complete (hopefully in early June). The building will include meeting space for small groups and we hope to eventually use it for Kids' Word and possibly the nursery, if we can meet all of the safety criteria that apply for the protection of our youngest members.

Seminarian's Last Sunday - May 3rd
Come and celebrate the ministries of our seminarians! Over the past two years we have been blessed to
have Josh & Ashley as our seminarians, and it is fitting that we send them off to their new positions in style. We will have a special blessing for them during the 10:30 service and enjoy refreshments in Kleberg Hall in their honor. We will also celebrate Andrew's time with us and wish him a fruitful summer during his time off. He will join us again at the beginning of the Fall seminary semester.

The purpose of St. George's Episcopal School is to provide a well-rounded program for the children of St. George's Church and its surrounding diverse community. Through our programs of School and Extended Care each child can grow and develop spiritually, cognitively, physically, emotionally and socially within a Christian atmosphere.
In order to provide a quality program for our children, the school depends on individuals from the church and community to give what they can to
our
year-round donation fund. It's simple and easy to become a recurring donor for our school.
Our school wants to thank you for your continued financial support. Great schools are essential for the lives of our young children and we are proud to be on the cutting edge of this great journey.
