Meet Charles.
Charles joined the Back on My Feet (BoMF) program in October through the Salvation Army. He was receiving counseling and working toward managing his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). When visiting more with Charles, we learned that the PTSD stemmed from unpleasant upbringing. Unfortunately, Charles was sexually abused throughout his entire childhood.
In the BoMF program, he maintained great attendance and soaked up any opportunity to learn attending a variety of classes and running his first 5k!
"I really like being a part of the BOMF family because of the dedication, encouragement, motivation, and inspiration I receive from the employees and volunteers.
Our morning runs provide me with a great sense of peace, focus and overall health benefits that come along with running and/or walking. "- Charles
April has been an exciting month. Charles was offered (and accepted) employment with a BoMF partner. And thanks to your support, BoMF was also able to provide financial assistance to move Charles into his new apartment!
